This is an NRA Handgun Training Course. The National Rifle Association (NRA) has been the proven leader in firearms training for rifles, pistols and shotguns since 1871. This NRA course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This eight-hour course includes both classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
Some of the topics include: NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; Pistol mechanisms and operation; Building pistol shooting skills; Pistol Maintenance, Handgun Selection based on Use; Ammunition types, calibers, and components; Shooting fundamentals; Range rules, Shooting from the bench rest position, and one and two-handed standing position shooting.
Included in the price of this course students receive: The “NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting” handbook, NRA “Gun Safety” brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet; range fees, targets, and more.
